Alice Nguyen - Canada Education Consultant (ICEF#2726)

Graduating with a major in Tourism Management from Hanoi University (formerly Hanoi University of Foreign Studies), Minh Anh was one of only two students in her class to graduate with Distinction. After graduation, she returned to teach at the Faculty of Business and Tourism Management, where she was responsible for courses in Economics, Tourism, and the joint program with La Trobe University (Australia). With her friendly, clear, professional, and dedicated teaching style, she was always loved by her students, who regarded her as a source of inspiration.

In 2014, Minh Anh moved to Canada to pursue further studies and began rebuilding her career from scratch. Thanks to her strong capability, proactive attitude, and excellent English skills, she was invited - even before receiving her visa - to collaborate with the Asia-Pacific Regional Recruitment Representative of Niagara College in connecting and supporting Vietnamese students. During her two years of study there, she worked as the Vietnamese Student Advisor at Niagara College, gaining a deep understanding of the study-abroad journey of many young Vietnamese students - both from the perspective of a student and a supporter.

While studying abroad, Minh Anh took on various part-time jobs, ranging from manual labor to administrative office work. These experiences helped her develop life skills, adaptability, and a practical working mindset in an international environment. She also prepared her own study permit, visa, and immigration applications for herself, her family, and friends through thorough research and real-life experience - giving her an in-depth understanding of the procedures, requirements, and emotions involved in the process.

Minh Anh earned her Master’s degree in Education in Canada, graduating among the top 5% of her program. Although she did not continue on the traditional educational path, the knowledge and experience gained throughout her studies allowed her to deeply understand Canada’s educational system, people, and culture, and nurtured her passion for supporting and sharing with the Vietnamese international student community. She founded the online community “Study in Canada - You Ask, I Answer,” where she shares honest experiences, provides helpful answers to thousands of members, and helps many young people gain clearer direction in their study-abroad journeys.

Minh Anh is also the author of the book “Du học tự chuyện” (A Personal Study Abroad Story), which recounts her challenging journey - from the early days of uncertainty in a foreign land to, three years later, the moment she held both her Master’s degree and Canadian permanent residence card. The book delivers a heartfelt message about determination, courage, and the desire to change one’s life through knowledge.

For Minh Anh, every study-abroad story is a meaningful journey - where knowledge, courage, and compassion come together to shape the future. She hopes to continue sharing her experience and personal growth, helping Vietnamese students and parents better understand the Canadian education path and make informed choices suited to their abilities and real-life circumstances.
